Independence Day Celebration
Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August , 2019 with lots of gusto. It was marked with cheer and plenty of Patriotic fervor. Our children bagged 2nd place at the Taluk level for their dance performance.

Fancy Dress Competition on 29th July 2019
Kalpataru Central School conducted the Fancy Dress Competition on 29th July for the children of Classes Sapling. The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to get on the stage and speak in front of an audience. Children dressed up in their colorful costumes and spoke a few sentences on the character that they depicted. The effort and hard work of children was highly commendable.

Diya Making
Diya decoration was held on 8th August 2019 for the students of grade 8th to 10th. Most of the children enthusiastically participated in this competition and amazed us by showing their creativity. The competition was organized in the respective classrooms to ensure a familiar and comfortable environment.

Environment Day
World Environment Day is the biggest annual event for positive environment action and taken place every 5th June.World Environment Day 2019 is hosted by China with a theme ‘ Air Pollution’. We can’t stop breathing, but we can do something about the quality of air that we breathe. The children of KCS celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2019 with joy and enthusiasm. Saplings were planted by SriManu, Srikanth, Smt. Devika.B.swamy Principal. Awareness was created about ‘ Air pollution’ and the children took oath to keep the environment clean and green.

Ramzan Celebration
Id- Ul – Fitr or Ramzan was celebrated on 6th June 2019 in KCS premises. The celebration brought into focus the need for communal harmony in the society.


Fathers’ Day
Fathers’ Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in society. Fathers’ Day was celebrated at KCS on 17th June 2019 with tons of love & affection.


School Election
School election was conducted at KCS on 12th June 2019. Functionaries like Head Boys, Head Girls, Cultural Secretaries, Sport Secretaries and the class representatives were elected by the children. For the first time in the history of KCS, online voting by students was introduced in order to save paper and to save trees.

Investiture Ceremony
Investiture Ceremony was organized on 19th June 2019. Elected representatives of the students of KCS took oath of office & promised to work sincerely for the school. They made up their mind to help the administration in having a good conducive academic atmosphere & strict discipline in the school.

World Music & Yoga Day
Music & Yoga are the rhythm and discipline of life, could say two universals come together on 21st June, a day that celebrates both yoga & music. Kalpataru Central School celebrates the day in the campus with vivid activities. A much deserved and full- fledged celebration. Smt.SudhaPai, Sri Chanabasappa retired Tahsildar, SmtKamala Gokul were the guests.

Investiture Ceremony
Just the formal announcement of conferring the titles to the newly elected students council but it also reasserts the belief that the reigns of maintaining a disciplined environment has been entrusted to the competent hands.

Yoga Day
A pro- active initiative in creating awareness among children about the positive impact of yoga in our lives. Do yoga and enjoy life, is the intended message here. Yoga is a therapy to keep the body fit, mind calm and help live a relaxed and quality life.

Music day celebrated by organizing an inter – house singing competition for middle school children

Celebrated in our school to pay tribute to kargil Martyrs who are the symbol of courage & sacrifice.

World Environment Day
We celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June, 2018 in our school. We had the gracious presence of Sri Rakesh, the Range Forest Officer(RFO), Tiptur (Tq) on the occasion as the chief guest. Our children planted many saplings in the school premises and it created a general awareness among the students about the need to plant and conserve greenery.

Doctors' Day
Doctors' day celebrated on July 1st , 2018 to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary surgeon Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. Helping the children to become aware of the role and importance & the previous care delivered by doctors. Guest of Honor Dr. C G Kariappa.

National Sports Day
Our school celebrated National Sports Day on 29 August, 2018 to commemorate Dhyan Chand, whose birth anniversary falls on this day. Dhyan Chand, was known as the wizard or the magician of Hockey for his superb ball control.

Independence Day
Independence day was celebrated on 15th August 2018 with lots of the greatest gusts. It was marked with cheer and plenty of patriotic fervor.

Teachers’ Day
Teachers’ day was celebrated on 5th September,2018 with a lot of enthusiasm and gusto. The day happens to be the birth day of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and children were made aware of the great qualities of teachers on this occasion.

Krishna Janmastami also known as Gokulastami is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna.

Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Birth Anniversary
We celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri birth anniversary on 2nd October, 2018. The children were made aware of the great contribution of Mahatma Gandhi in the making of India as a nation. They also learnt about the a person without any blemish who happened to be the former Prime Minister of India, Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri.

World Population Day

Kannada Rajyotsava
Our school celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on 1st November, 2018 marking the birth of Karnataka. Various activities were taken up by the children on this occasion.

Children’s Day
Children’s day was celebrated on 14 November,2018 with joy and happiness celebrating the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru who was the first Prime Minister of India.

Christmas Day Celebration

Sankranthi Festival
Our students celebrated Sankranthi also called as Pongal on 15 January, 2018 by taking up activities like sharing “Ellu Bella”. Some children brought freshly harvested grains of Ragi, sugar cane and different plants & flowers creating festive atmosphere in the school.

Republic Day
Republic day was celebrated with all solemnity and gusto in the school on 26th January, 2018. The children took part in the national flag hoist, March past and various cultural activities.

Our school organized many awareness programmes in order to facilitate capacity building in our students regarding various issues like facing examination, stress management and patriotism.

Bidding Farewell

Valediction for X course 2019
Moist eyes and teary – eyed farewell marked the valediction organized for the current X standard children. It was a very moving sight watching the out - going children feeling very sad at the prospect of leaving the school on the completion of the course. A token of gift was handed over to the out – going children by the school. The event was an emotionally surcharged one where the children felt very proud to be the students of KCS and they expressed their gratitude to the school, faculty and fellow students. The children vowed that they would excel in their performance at X Board Examination.

School Election
Elections at school creates a platform for the children to display their leadership skills. They help the students to learn the importance of team work and instill the reuse of responsibility in them.

Science Exhibition
A two – day – Science exhibition was held in our school on 2nd and 3rd November, 2018. All the students from various levels exhibited their talent by creating and exhibiting innovative devices coming up with novel ideas.

About Us :
The Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe(R), Tiptur was established in the year 1962, with a cherished desire of catering to the needs of the lerners of learning in and around Tiptur. It is the product of the Vision and dynamism of its founding Principal Shri. J. R. Mahalingaiah and the altruistic and munificent donations from the renowned Philanthropists like Shri. Pallagatti Adavappa the founding President of the Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe.

Kalpataru College, which came to light in 1962 with a meager strength of 277 students went on growing from strength to strength until 1982 when it got bifurcated into Kalpataru Science College and Pallagatti Adavappa Arts and Commerce College, for conveniences of administration.
