The Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe(R), Tiptur was established in the year 1962, with a cherished desire of catering to the needs of the learning in and around Tiptur. It is the product of the vision and dynamism of its founding principal Shri. J R Mahalingaiah and the altruistic and munificent donations from the renowned philanthropists like Shri. Pallagatti Adavappa, the founding President of the Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe.
Kalpataru College, which came to light in 1962 with a meager strength of 277 students, went on growing from strength to strength until 1982, when it got bifurcated into Kalpataru Science College and Pallagatti Adavappa Arts and Commerce College, for convenience of administration.

I derive immense pleasure in talking about our school. We are very proud of the fact that Kalpataru Central School has a spacious building, fully functional laboratories, a well-stocked library with thousands of volumes, a vast playground, and a well-trained, resourceful faculty.
