The Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe (R), Tiptur, was officially registered as an educational society on 30th December 1961 and began operations in the academic year 1962–63. Established with the vision and dynamism of its founding Principal, Shri J. R. Mahalingaiah, and backed by the philanthropic generosity of Shri Pallagatti C. Adavappa, the Samsthe was born from a deep commitment to bring quality education to the learners of Tiptur and its surrounding areas. Initially, classes were conducted in the newly constructed Government Girls’ High School, with a modest strength of around 270 students.
Under the stewardship of Shri J. R. Mahalingaiah, the institution embarked on rapid development, including outreach to secure both public and governmental support. Within just a few years, it erected its own building on a sprawling 36-acre campus. Its first batch achieved an impressive tenth rank in PUC, drawing widespread recognition.
